Applications for the Crocker Innovation Fellowship are now open! If you are a BYU student interested in innovation, entrepreneurship, and interdisciplinary collaboration, we encourage you to apply.

Applications are due by Friday, October 17th. Selected candidates will be invited to an interview, and final decisions will be made by December 1st.

Application Information

The Crocker Innovation Fellowship is an interdisciplinary innovation program for BYU undergraduate students. The class starts in January and is two semesters long (Winter and Fall). Students study and practice principles of innovation in Winter semester, learn through a summer internship, and then study and practice principles of innovation commercialization in the Fall semester. Interested students from all majors are encouraged to apply.

  • BYU Students of any major can apply to one of six roles:
    • Electrical Engineering
    • Management (Business, Entrepreneurial Management, etc.)
    • Mechanical Engineering
    • Coding (Computer Science, Information Systems, etc.)
    • Design (Industrial, Graphic, UX/UI, etc.)
    • "Wild Card"
  • Preference is given to students who can show a mastery of the skills corresponding to their respective role - usually this means they are entering their Junior or Senior year
  • Applications open at the beginning of October
  • Interviews, decisions, and team placements occur before December
  • The class is two semesters (Winter & Fall)
  • Funding is provided
